History remembers the prophet who shook the world with spiritual universalism, but it often forgets the scholar-soldier who took that same burning compassion for the masses and forged it into a scientific weapon of class warfare.

Instead, he chose a path of absolute revolutionary defiance. Ignited by the Partition of Bengal in 1905, he plunged headfirst into the armed inner cadre of the Anushilan Samiti. As chief editor of the radical, one-paisa weekly Jugantar Patrika, he turned the printing press into a weapon of mass agitation.
